YONGKANG, China, Sept. 28, 2026 — The 31st China Hardware Expo opened recently at the Yongkang International Convention and Exhibition Center, and its overseas buyer program has emerged as one of the event’s standout successes. Through coordinated online and offline outreach, organizers brought a large contingent of international professional buyers to Yongkang, giving exhibitors direct access to global market opportunities on their doorstep and building a practical, high-efficiency bridge for foreign trade matchmaking — helping “Yongkang Hardware” capture overseas orders and accelerate its push into international markets.

As of the evening of Sept. 27, the expo had welcomed close to 100 overseas buyers from 29 countries and regions, covering major hardware-consuming markets across Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and South America. Independent international visitors continued to arrive on Sept. 28, and foreign participation is expected to grow further.
This year’s outreach placed greater emphasis on buyer quality and matchmaking. More than 40 overseas buyers traveled to China specifically to source, including a 14-member professional hardware purchasing delegation from Bangladesh and more than 20 high-caliber buyers from Kenya and Arab countries. These buyers are deeply rooted in the hardware trade, and their sourcing needs align closely with the products on display. First-time buyers make up a large share; many are visiting China — and the Yongkang expo — for the first time, bringing fresh overseas market resources to the event.

To attract the right buyers worldwide, organizers worked both online and offline. Online, expo previews were published across more than 130 overseas platforms and regions, with over 100 international media outlets taking part in pre-event publicity. Multilingual recruitment content in English, Arabic, Korean and other languages was distributed through a social media matrix spanning Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, while domestic channels — WeChat video accounts, WeChat official accounts and foreign-buyer WeChat groups — amplified the event’s reach at home and abroad. Offline, a dedicated team traveled to overseas specialized markets for one-on-one promotion, identifying and screening professional buyers face to face. The team also managed the full service chain, including buyer qualification checks, invitation letter processing and itinerary coordination, to safeguard the professional caliber of attending buyers.

On site, the expo integrated online and offline channels with multilingual livestreaming, creating a virtual tour for overseas buyers unable to attend in person and extending the event’s reach beyond geographic limits. The organizing committee also invited a Latin American social media agency into the exhibition halls to produce on-site coverage for markets including Mexico, Argentina and Chile, and coordinated with Russian and Middle Eastern influencer networks to distribute event content, further raising the expo’s international profile.

The concentration of overseas buyers has translated into tangible trade results, with multiple on-site transactions and large intended orders totaling US$5.6 million. Roman, head of Bangladeshi company RS Trade, visited the Beibo Intelligent Technology (北渤智能科技) booth at A2T28 and paid cash on the spot for samples of a brushless handheld cold-cut saw and matching blades, planning to test them at home before moving to bulk purchases. Overseas buyer Abdi Ghani Hussein Jama signed an on-site order for 900 steel tape measures with Yucheng County Anchuang Measuring Tools Co., Ltd. (虞城县安创工量具有限公司). Bangladeshi buyer Haque Md Akramul, whose annual purchasing volume is around US$1 million, visited the Jinjuyuan Abrasives (金聚源磨具) booth for in-depth talks on 1,000 cases of cutting and grinding discs; the two sides exchanged contact details and will continue discussions online to finalize pricing and cooperation.

Looking ahead, the expo will compile a dedicated ledger of all buyers who expressed purchase intent during the event and carry out systematic follow-up, working to convert on-site interest into formal bulk orders. The aim is to turn buyer traffic into measurable export growth for exhibitors and to sustain the Yongkang Hardware Expo’s role as a platform for international engagement.
